As we approach the end of 2022, I thought I’d take time out and look back on the past 12 months…

In November, as part of the Hawke’s Bay Food & Wine Classic, aka F.A.W.C!, Hastings District Council and Hawke’s Bay Wine held a fantastic evening of wine, food and entertainment that took over the Heretaunga Street East Block in Hastings. SCP was commissioned to capture the event, and we had a blast doing so!

After moving to New Zealand almost 12 years ago, the Hastings Municipal Building was one of the first locations that I photographed in. Check it out now!

Earlier this year I decided that as part of my professional development I wanted to submit a portfolio of commercial images, and review my business practices with the aim of gaining my Professional Commercial Photographer Accreditation with the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography (NZIPP).

A couple of weeks before the COVID-19 level 4 lockdown came into effect, we took a trip to the Waimangu volcanic valley which is located a short distance off State Highway 5 near Rotorua.

A few weeks before the COVID-19 lockdown began, SCP was invited to capture profile imagery of the Mitchell Daysh team in Napier. The images needed to mirror the style of photography which has been carried out at the firms other NZ offices, which isn’t always the easiest to pull-off successfully.
