A brief trip to the Motherland…
February saw me taking the long Emirates flight back to Wakefield in the UK for a couple of weeks. The trip was originally planned for the end of April, to celebrate my Gran’s 100th birthday, but unfortunately, that wasn’t meant to be so it was a trip to farewell her at her funeral instead.
As with all trips, my Fujifilm X-T20 travel camera was packed, however, in the rush I did forget to take a tripod with me. Wex Photo & Video in Leeds quickly got me sorted though, so it was all photo-systems go in between spending time with family and friends… Not forgetting the early jet-lagged mornings while my body clock adjusted…
Living overseas you quickly forget how awesome Yorkshire is, and despite the trip being for a sad reason, I thoroughly enjoyed getting out and about! Here are a few of the images captured whilst I mooched around…
As a side note, we usually book our overseas trips with Christine and the team at Best Travel in Hastings. They always provide us with awesome service and I highly recommend them. This time, was no different; as the trip was originally planned for April, Christine got me sorted and onto a flight within a very short timeframe, and with no fuss. Thanks, Christine, much appreciated!
